Mathematics

Students are placed in mathematics classes based on test and statistical criteria. You can explore these criteria here. Middle school math courses offer a levels of acceleration designed to match a student's need and ability. Course documents showing standards covered over a year are posted for each grade level.

WCPSS began changing it's math curriculum in the 2017-2018 school year to two new resources:

  • Grade level and "Plus" classes use Open Up Resource Mathematics
  • Math I, II, and III use Mathematics Vision Project, Integrated Curriculum (MVP)
