布袋戲在雲林

The〝 Po-te-hi〞In Yunlin

台灣有兩大布袋戲流派源自雲林，黃海岱所創立「五洲園」及其傳徒，為「洲派」；鍾任祥創立「新興閣」及其傳徒，為「閣派」，兩大布袋戲派系，對近代台灣布袋戲發展，均有重要的影響力。

布袋戲通天教主-黃海岱(1901-2007)

自黃海岱創立五洲園迄今，成為臺灣最具影響力的布袋戲流派。五洲派以五音分明及吟詩賦詞為表演特色，更培養無數布袋戲藝師，包括第二代黃俊卿、黃俊雄盡得其真傳；第三代霹靂、天宇布袋戲第四代金光布袋戲，成功為台灣布袋戲培育新興觀眾群。2007年黃海岱逝世，雲林縣議會通過將其生日國曆1月2日訂為「雲林布袋戲日」，表揚他對臺灣布袋戲的貢獻。

『轟動武林、驚動萬教-黃俊雄』

黃俊雄自幼隨父黃海岱學習布袋戲，耳濡目染之下掌握後場音樂特質，展現演奏樂器、演、編、講等全方位本領，19歲組成五洲園第三團(後改為真五洲掌中劇團)。1970年台視播出黃俊雄《雲州大儒俠》，風靡全台，成為台灣電視袋戲代表作，開啟電視布袋戲「轟動武林、驚動萬教」的黃金年代。

新興閣(Hsin Hsing Ku Puppet Troupe)

新興閣

新興閣鍾氏開基祖鍾五全，1828年(清道光八年)從福建漳州渡海來台，落籍西螺創立協興班，為台灣潮調布袋戲最重要的藝師之一，第四代鍾任祥繼承潮調衣缽，並力求創新改革，1923年將劇團更為「新興閣」，為西螺閣派布袋戲的開山宗師。

西螺閣派布袋戲掌門人-鍾任壁(1932~2021)

鍾任壁自幼隨父鍾任祥學習掌中技藝，十七歲起獨當一面，正式擔任主演，1953年聘請排戲先生吳天來創編《大俠百草翁》，開啟內台金光戲的光輝歲月。鍾任壁孜孜不倦的改良閣派布袋戲技藝，為台灣「劍俠戲」與「金光戲」重要藝師之一。1980年代後，鍾任壁經常應邀至國內外展演，對外遠赴世界各地巡演，對內推動「掌中戲入校園」親自至校園指導布袋戲社團，對推廣和發揚傳統布袋戲不遺餘力。

01成立雲林布袋戲館 The Birth of YPPM

雲林布袋戲館前身為「虎尾郡役所」建於1922年，1931年落成，日治時期為台南州虎尾郡行政與治安機關，戰後改制，歷經區公所、虎尾警察分局使用，閒置後經過各方人士努力下，2001年公告為歷史建築，修繕再利用後，2007年成為雲林縣布袋戲文化保存及推廣之場所。

The Yunlin Palm Puppet Museum (YPPM) was the original “Huwei County Hall” built in 1931 as the administration and security agency during Japanese ruling similar to today’s county government. After the Central Government of ROC came to Taiwan, the building was turned into township office and Huwei Police Department. Therefore, local old folks still refer to this building as the old Huwei Police Department. The building was abandoned in 1990, and fortunately saved by the locals from being torn down. 2001, the building was identified as a historic building in Yunlin County, and renovated as “palm puppet theme hall.”

02縣市藝文特色

在文化部的指導下，雲林縣透過縣市藝文特色發展計畫，將布袋戲推廣植根於縣內各級學校及社區，培養布袋戲文化種子。

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Yunlin County, through the local arts and cultural characteristics development plan, promote BODEHI in schools and communities , cultivated the seeds of BODEHI culture.

Yunlin International Puppet Theater Festival (Since 1999)

The palm puppet show is one of the culture heritages which has lasted for more than 100 years. And it is without a doubt that Yunlin is the cradle of Taiwan palm puppet shows. Ever since Yunlin International Puppets Arts Festival was founded in 1999,it has annually promoted various high-quality events. It is even honorably listed as international event by Taiwan Tourism Event, which is really significant to Yunlin.
