Le bateau - Alioth

De fabrication française en aluminium, l’AZZURO 53 est un voilier de 17 m à quille relevable dessiné par Berret-Racoupeau. Alioth a été mis à l’eau en 2009 et compte près de 75.000 miles, soit près de trois tours du monde.

Depuis fin 2015, les frères Moeyersoms (Vincent et Olivier) naviguent à bord d’Alioth en Norvège, Irlande, Ecosse, Iles Féroé, Islande, Bretagne, Espagne, Portugal, Madère, Cap Vert ; une transat les mène aux Antilles, Bahamas, New York, Boston et Le Maine en juin 2018.

Il a passé l'hiver 2018-19 en chantier à Rhode Island pour se préparer pour l'expédition du Passage du Nord-Ouest à l'été 2019.

The yacht - Alioth

French built, the Aluminum AZZURO 53 is a 17 m sailing yacht with a lifting keel designed by Berret-Racoupeau. Alioth was launched in 2009 and has since sailed 75,000 miles, or approximately three times around the World.

Since the end of 2015, the Moeyersoms brothers (Vincent and Olivier) have sailed Alioth in the North Sea, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, France, Spain, Portugal, Madeira, the Canaries and Cape Verde Islands, across the Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, New York, and New England.

The yacht spent the 2018-19 winter in Rhode Island hauled and getting refitted for its expedition of the Northwest Passage during the 2019 summer.
