A native South Carolinian, Mrs. deGolian graduated from Furman University in 2002 with a B.A. in history and political science. She began her teaching career at Northwest Middle School in Travelers Rest, SC, before moving to Kentucky in 2004. She taught 8th grade US History at Scott County Middle School until 2007 when she became a teaching assistant at the University of Kentucky. In 2009 Mrs. deGolian graduated from UK with an M.A. in History and returned to teaching at Bourbon County Middle School. She received an M.S. in Library and Information Science from UK in 2013. Mrs. deGolian became a Library Media Specialist at Trinity in 2015 and teaches classes in U.S. History, Recent U.S. History, and African American History. She is co-moderator of National Honor Society and Black Student Union. She also is a member of the K-12 Kentucky Virtual Library Workgroup.

Mrs. deGolian and her husband, Crady, a native Louisvillian, have one son, Cooper, who was born in 2011.
