Victoria Harbour is located in Tay Township. There are many things to discover around here! Here are a few recommandations...
Parks, beaches and trails:
Tay Shore Trail, section of the Trans-CanadaTrail, is a five minute walk away (off of Caswell road) from our cottage. Perfect for hiking and cycling!
MacKenzie park is a five minute ride away within Victoria Harbour. Bring your little ones along to spend a few hours at the beach and playground.
Little Lake park is about 10 minutes way. Beautiful parkland with natural and active settings. Includes disc golf, skate park, beach volleyball, dog park, play equipment, paved trails, community garden, washrooms and beach.
Balm Beach is located 20 minutes away. You'll feel on vacation there as the beach is larger and many restaurants and stores boasts the side street. Great way to spend the day!

Every summer between June and September, SMDHU collects water samples from public beaches within Simcoe and Muskoka.***
Attractions:
Martyrs' Shrine is open to the public between the first Saturday in May to the Monday after Thanksgiving. Operating Hours are daily from 8:30am to 9:00pm. Restore and rebalance in this paradisiac environment, indoor and outdoor.
Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is open 7 days a week from 10:00am to 5:00pm from May 7 to October 8. Travel to the mid seventeenth century in Ontario's very first European community.
Wye Marsh is is open 7 days a week from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Discover nature through walking, snow shoeing and skiing trails, canoe & kayak ecotours, interpretive center, overnight rustic cabin stays and more!
Restaurants:
Cheeky Mama Bakery & Café offers the BEST butter tart of the region! If you missed the Butter Tart festival this last June, don't worry... Cheeky Mama's got you covered. Go early!
Sannon's Kitchen Cafe Bistro is a five minutes drive away. Their Fish & Chips and Pork Schnitzels are "MUST TRY"! Don't forget to try their Toffee Pudding... it's out of this world! Make sure to book a table!
Dillon's Wood Fired pizza is worth the 15 minute drive to Midland! Everything is delicious! Make sure to book a table!
Shopping and strolling:
The Newton Street Art Barn is located 3 minutes from the cottage. They provide an opportunity for artisans to showcase their talents to the public in a creative rural storefront.
Strolling along King street in downtown Midland from Bayshore street up to Elizabeth street will allow you to feel this little town vibe. King street boasts with locals shops and restaurants.
