Building Project 2021

4/21/21- The ground has finally thawed so the work can begin. We will have to really hustle to be ready for the Spring babies. It's exciting to meet with with the trades people.

4/29/21- The ground is prepped for concrete! There will be covered caging on both sides of the building. The floor inside is also prepped. We also had the garage door repaired and an opener installed. Thanks to Warner Garage Doors and to Back Hoe Pete for getting us moved up the work list!

5/5/21- Ulvin Plumbing got our drain and plumbing in! The concrete is next.

5/15/21 The concrete floor was poured.

5/25/21 Carlson Construction began the roof and the caging.

5/26/21 We received Gorilla Netting for the raptor side.

6/16/21 The fawn pen is completed.

6/18/21 It's ready for animals to move in. While there is still a lot of work to be done on the inside the four attached cages are good to go.

9/26/21 The building is in full use. There are two large enclosures on each side of the building. We hope to add a fenced area at the back of the building so the fawns have more room to run and play before release.

We did it- We purchased more property and are now ready to make the improvements needed to house more wildlife in need of help and a safe place to recover. We are hoping to get started as soon as possible so that we can be ready to go when all the Spring orphans start showing up. Click on the Eagle to go to the Go Fund Me Site created to help with some of the costs. We also need volunteers to help with the site prep and cage building. Contact us for details. We plan to chronicle the project right here on this page.
