Northwoods Wildlife Rescue
Our Story/About Us
Northwoods Wildlife Rescue, Inc was created after learning how few wildlife rehabilitators are available in MN. As soon as we were licensed we began to receive calls and animals from near and far and people would start bringing us animals in need from all over. The business is a 501(c)3. The mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals back into the wild where they belong.
We accomplish our mission through collaboration of the community, the DNR, and other rehabilitation centers.
We receive no government funding and rely on monetary donations and donations of time and products needed to facilitate rehabilitation.
SAVE THE DATES!
2024 is here. We have two major fundraisers planned for the year.
We will have our 2nd Annual garage sale May 23rd, 24th & 25th. The first sale was such fun and such a success. The donations of everything from furniture to knick-knacks was so greatly appreciated. Donations will be accepted May 18th to May 22nd or by special arrangement by calling 218-616-2176.
On August 9th, 2024 we will gather at the American Legion and host the 3rd Annual "For the Animals" Smoked Pork Dinner and Silent Auction. We served over 350 meals, were entertained with live music by the great Charley Wagner, had great raffle and silent auction items, and even auctioned off pork shoulders that had been smoked for 12 glorious hours. Even more surprises are in store for the 2024 event.
Please Print and post the flyer in breakrooms, bulletin boards, etc as you deem appropriate. Any help is so greatly appreciated.
