MTFOdL encourages parents to get involved and volunteer with the group. The following positions are currently needed. Even if you cannot take on a formal role, we'd still appreciate any help or assistance that you could provide. (More Info will be added.)

School Representative Role


  1. Network with parents in building to ask about concerns, issues and feedback.

  2. Connect with Building PTA/ PFA to ensure that MTFOdL info is being distributed and share school issues that might be relevant to MTFOdL

  3. Attend Admin meetings as needed (when school or area of expertise is needed).

  4. Promote MTFOdL Meetings and Events (ensure meeting notice is on school social media accounts, in building virtual backpack, hard copy flyers visible at Guidance/ Main Office, staff a back-to school night table at your building, etc.)

  5. Introduce self to building principal as MTFOdL liaison and establish communication channel.


Disability/Placement Representative

  1. Serve as a resource to other parents and the group for a certain type of disability and/or placement.

  2. Attend Admin meetings as needed (when area of expertise is needed).
