           Object  pronouns are pronouns used as the direct object of a sentence. 

            A direct object is a noun or pronoun.  It receives the action of the verb.


                      Kate threw the ball.                                subject - Kate                    verb (simple predicate) - threw

                                                                                                               Kate threw what?  --- ball   - direct object


                      Kate threw it.                                            subject - Kate                    verb (simple predicate) - threw

                                                                                                                Kate threw what?  --- it     (direct object/object pronoun)
