Lane Tech Tutoring
Tutoring can help strengthen subject comprehension, boost confidence, and build important learning skills. This helps students who struggle to keep up, as well as those who aren't challenged enough.
Lane offers a school-wide tutoring program Monday-Thursday & Saturday for every academic subject.

Executive Skills Clinic
Need assistance with organization, time management, stress management, and study skills? Stop by Dr. Kahler & Dr. Platten's, School Psychologists, Drop-In Clinic.
When: Fridays during 5th & 6th periods
Where: Library Office (East side office)

Credit Recovery
Students must recover a failed core course in order to graduate. CPS and Lane offers several options for students to recover a credit. It is the student's responsibility to adhere to registration deadlines and complete all graduation requirements.
IVS (Online Courses):
Illinois Virtual School (IVS) is an online course offered at Lane Tech during 9th period. Daily attendance, completion of online assignments and homework are required. A $75 course fee is must be paid before you begin class. To maximize opportunities for success in class, parents or guardians are encouraged to monitor student progress and insure that the guidelines listed below are followed.
Basis for removal from the program:
More than 2 days of unexcused absence
Failure to communicate daily with the online instructor and your mentor
Failure to conscientiously work on course content during 9th period
Failure to spend at least 5 hours/week online, outside of class, on IVS course work
Inappropriate behavior online
Violation of IVS Student Code of Conduct, CPS or Lane's Rules and Regulation

1. See your Counselor for an IVS Referral Form.
2. See Mr. Hoof, Counselor/IVS Mentor, to register.
NCLB Evening/Saturday School:
NCLB refers to the federal No Child Left Behind law. The NCLB Evening High School Programs is designed to provide current CPS students with the academic coursework required to earn a high school diploma. Course offerings vary by location and are available in the evenings and on Saturdays to provide flexible options for students wishing to recover credits or resolve schedule conflicts. Taught by highly qualified and certified teachers, the courses cover core content in a variety of subjects including English, science, mathematics, social studies and foreign languages.
