TRANSCRIPTS

Your transcript is a record of your academic performance throughout high school and includes your grades, classes, and overall GPA...making it one of the most important factors in college admissions decisions, if not the most important. Your school counselor will submit your transcript, along with our school profile, to colleges on your behalf.

How to Request Official Transcripts?

Your school counselor submits your Official Transcript and supplemental materials (Secondary School Report/Counselor Recommendation, Fee Waiver) to your college.  Follow these instructions and Transcript Request Deadlines:

*If you need an UNOFFICIAL copy of your transcript, you can access via SchooLinks. Go to "School" and select "Record Requests."

.

If a college is requiring you to send an updated transcript of your first semester senior year grades, aka Mid-Year Report, then follow these instructions:

Transcript Request Deadlines

It is your responsibility to be aware of college application deadlines and to submit your transcript requests in a timely matter. Get your transcript requests in at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure delivery.

College Application Deadline = Transcript/Rec Letter Request Deadline

 November 1st = October 18th

 November 15th =  November 1st

FAQs

When should I request my transcript to be sent?

It is fine to request your transcripts to be sent before you submit an application.  Just make sure you request them in time (2 weeks) so they are received by the application deadline.

How do I know if my counselor submitted my transcript?

Before you bug your counselor, check your SchooLinks! Go to your College Applications manager section.  You can view the history and status of the requested documents by clicking Show History for more details. Once the transcript is sent and viewed by the college you will see a Doc ID available from Parchment. See screenshot below.

What is a Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)

To expedite your application faster, some colleges will request you to self-report your transcript. You will not need to request your official transcript to be initially sent to colleges, however, if you plan to enroll, then you will need to do so via the “College Application Materials Request Form.”

It is important that students report grades exactly as they appear on your high school transcript. If the SRAR is deemed inaccurate, the university may cancel admission, regardless of whether the inaccuracy was intentional or accidental.  We suggest that you have a copy of your high school transcript on hand when completing this task.

*If you need an UNOFFICIAL copy of your transcript, you can access via SchooLinks. Go to "School" and select "Record Requests."

Popular universities that utilize SRAR: University of Illinois-Urbana, University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, and Illinois State University.
