About K.V. White

My name is Karlys White, and I'm from Caracas, Venezuela. I moved to Alexandria, Virginia when I was 14 years old. At that time, I could not speak English. In fact, I was terrified when I had to go to school for the first time (I was a freshman in high school). Luckily, I had wonderful ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers who helped me learn the language. After two years of ESL courses, I was ready to leave the program and take a regular English class when I became a junior. I've been in love with this language ever since! I'm happily married to Tyler White, my high school sweetheart. He teaches Mathematics at the Woodbridge Campus. We've been in California and Pennsylvania, but we are very happy to be back in Northern Virginia!
