Goals
We have a large body of faculty leads and committees. Our focus this year is to increase faculty connections, comradery, and communications. We also want to increase appreciation for faculty work and readjust campus commitment expiations as we enter a new normal. As we work to build out schedules, refine committee charges, and create agendas and minutes best practices keep the following questions in mind. During the plenary please visit all 4 breakout rooms to discuss how the topic might be integrated into the work of the Academic Senate.
How can we increase communication from leads and committees to all faculty without turning AS into a 1.5-hour report?
How can we increase faculty commitment to faculty committees without just increasing faculty committee commitment?
How can AS funds be used to increase faculty connection?
How can we work to mentor faculty to support campus engagement with balance?
