EAL Guidance

Stirling Council's EAL Guidance was updated in June 2023.  It is available to Stirling Council staff on the Source and can also be viewed below.

The aim of these guidelines is to ensure the best learning and teaching experiences for all children and young people with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in our schools and early learning and childcare settings in Stirling Council.

An inclusive ethos enables children and young people with EAL to acquire English effectively through their entitlement to opportunities to develop skills for life, learning and work.

These guidelines will support education staff to meet the needs of all children and young people who have EAL.
