Classroom Expectations

In my classroom, I expect that all of my students show respect in all that they do. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel safe, comfortable, and important in class.

Everyone deserves to have the best learning experience possible. Respect is what makes this possible. Everyone that enters my classroom will be treated with respect by me and I expect that you, in turn, treat everyone else with respect.

Absences

You are responsible for finding out what assignments, activities, or notes you missed during an absence.
If you are absent, there are a few things you should do before you ask me what you missed.
  • Check Google Classroom
  • Ask a Classmate
  • Check my website lesson plans

Due to the hands-on nature of this class, it is important to be in class and actively participating in order to have the most opportunities to demonstrate your mastery of the standards.

Late Work

Below is the late work policy developed by the entire Junior High staff.
Students will take exams on the designated date whether homework is completed or not.

All homework will be due the day it is assigned; homework can be turned in up until the exam date for up to 50% credit. Homework that is not turned in on the due date will be marked as missing and act as a zero
After the exam date, late work will no longer be accepted and a zero will remain in the gradebook.
