Earth Science 8

Earth science is the study of Earth and space. Some Earth science topics include rocks, minerals, soil, volcanoes, earthquakes, maps, fossils, mountains, climates, weather, ocean water, and objects in space. This course is designed to familiarize students with these topics as well as Earth and space processes. Emphasis is placed on using their understanding to predict possible outcomes in our environment. Group activities, projects, and problem solving allow students the opportunity to theorize a variety of ways that these outcomes might impact their lifestyles and society as a whole.
