Week 27 - Page Three

FOCUS ON FOSS

FOSS' Fay Hamilton checked in to give us the latest news: "Spring term finished on a amazing high with three fantastic fundraising events. The unbelievably hilarious Comedy Night, making £1,000, followed by the Easter Egg-travaganza Easter Fair which made around £1,600, including £862 from the Year Five children's stalls (more below). Then there was the Silent Auction which brought in £2,000. We look forward to an exciting summer term ahead of us." (check out our Reminders Section on Page One for more FOSS dates). Fellow FOSSer, Miranda Berridge-Sikkens concurred: "We would like to thank the brilliantly talented and generous parents for their wonderful contributions to the Silent Auction (you know who you are!) which really made it what it was - a fantastically broad range of sought after auction lots which generated much interest and talk!"

We also need to share with you the total made from the fabulous Year Five stalls - £862! Wow, wow, wow! Thank you so much Year Five for working so, so hard and raising so much. To say we are proud of you is an understatement. Mrs Tomlinson was bursting with pride as she told us: "The work these young stallholders put in was absolutely phenomenal. The whole Year Five staff are so proud of them. This money will go to FOSS to buy equipment to enhance our children's learning. You aced it Year Five!"
