My name is Mr. Lyga (Lee-ga), and this will be my second year teaching here at Bear Cave Intermediate. This will be my 5th year of general education instruction. Previously, I taught and looped three years at Hayfield Community Schools in 4th, 5th and 6th grade.

I grew up and attended school in Fountain City, WI. After I graduated in 2013 from Cochrane-Fountain City, I attended Western Technical College where I played basketball before transferring to Winona State to finish up my Elementary Education degree. 

Along with teaching 4th grade at BCI, I am also the Head Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach here in Stewartville. Sports and educating/working with our youth are two things that I am very passionate about. I hope to instill my love for learning in each of my students.

I currently live in Stewartville, with my wife Hannah, my son Camden and our cat Bella. Hannah is currently a Special Education Teacher at Bonner Elementary, while Bella is a long-term resident at our home.
