Student Login Info

WIFI:

District Issued Chromebook: Should automatically connect to INST wifi (no login and password needed)

Personal Laptop: You want to connect to BYOD and use your school login and password

Guest Network: the guest network is meant only for professional guests to our campus, such as presenters. It is not meant for

Students, Parents, or Staff. Therefore, there is no password to share – you cannot connect to this network.

Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues:

If your Chromebook will not connect to INST and is trying to connect to BYOD, you need to go into the wifi network settings and make the Chromebook “forget” the BYOD network. It will then automatically revert back to connecting to INST. If it prompts you to enter a password for INST task your teacher for the password.

If you are trying to connect to BYOD with your personal device and it says it is connected, but you can’t open specific web pages – the issue is too much bandwidth is being used and you need to wait.

School Login/Password Issues:

If you know your current password but want to change it follow these steps –

1) Go to http://password.srvusd.net

2) Click Change password

3) Enter your school ID as your user name, then enter your current password, and MAKE SURE to select the DOMAIN Students from the drop down menu.

4) Enter your new password

If you are a NEW STUDENT and need to create your password, follow the same steps as above but your temporary password will be your first initial, last initial, birthday!

Example: John Smith Born April 1, 2005 would have a temp password of js04012005!
