Thanks to generous support from the Incarnate Word Foundation and the St. Louis City Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry, WasabiNet is brining internet-connected computers to the Cherokee Recreational Center, located at Utah and Jefferson.

There will initially be 6 Dell GX-260 desktop computers, each with Pentium 4 2.4GHz processors, 1GB of RAM, CDROM, and speakers. The computers will all run Ubuntu Linux, with a kid-safe Internet connection providing using the open-source content filtering software Dan's Guardian.

Here are pictures of the room at the Rec Center under preparation. Please excuse the mess, and check back on WasabiNet for updates!
