The VDHMA College Scholarship

Below you will find the two page application for the annual $750 college scholarship offered by the Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Association. The scholarship’s purpose is to encourage young men and women to pursue careers involving draft horses, donkeys or mules in related professions or activities highlighting these animals and their uses.
Before you apply, these points should be borne in mind:
Should you be selected as the recipient of the scholarship, the funds will be given to you (or to your school) at the end of the first semester/quarter.
In order to receive the funds, you must provide a transcript showing that you are a student in good standing and have achieved passing grades in all your courses for the first semester/quarter.
As the recipient, you will be expected to attend the annual membership meeting of the VDHMA and read your essay to the members.
