How to enter an unattached athlete in the USATF Ohio Junior Olympic Championship

You will be able to enter the meet starting on May 13th.

The meet entry deadline is Wednesday, June 17th at 10:00 PM.

Proof of Age Required

Athlete must provide proof of age for verification before they can enter this meet.

Submit a physical copy of any of the following: Birth certificate, passport,

drivers license, certified baptismal record, or US Government Identification to:

Deadline to submit Date of Birth verification is June 15th, 2020 at 9:00 PM

(If Membership Card has Yes under DOB verified, you do not have to provide proof.)

Athletes must have USATF membership number in order to enter this meet.

Entry Fees

Individual Event - $7.00 Relay Team - $ 28.00

Other fees

No Spectator Admittance Fee Will Be Charged - Paid by Ohio Association

Parking Fee Will Be Charged - $ 4.00 for one day or $ 6.00 for two days

2020 USATF Junior Olympic Program Participation Waiver & Release Form

Do not need to turn in a paper form.

Waivers will be collected electronically through Athletic.net with entry into this meet.

COMPETITION WILL BE CONDUCTED IN FOLLOWING AGE DIVISIONS

(Age division is determined by year of birth, not how old the athlete is on day of the meet)

8 & under Born in 2012 & later Can do 3 events

9 - 10 Born in 2010 and 2011 Can do 3 events

11 - 12 Born in 2008 and 2009 Can do 3 events

13 - 14 Born in 2006 and 2007 Can do 4 events

15 - 16 Born in 2004 and 2005 Can do 4 events

17 - 18 * Born in 2002 and 2003 Can do 4 events

* Athletes born in 2001 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 7/27/2020

CONTESTED EVENTS

100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, Short/Long Hurdles, 2000m Steeplechase,

Race Walks, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, 4x800m relay, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump,

Pole Vault, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Javelin and Mini-Javelin Throw

AWARDS

USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

USATF Junior Olympic ribbons will be awarded to 4th, 5th and 6th places.

Awards will be available no earlier than forty-five (45) minutes after event results have been posted.

Awards may be picked up by athletes by displaying their bib number.

Athletes ten (10) and under should be accompanied by an adult.

ADVANCEMENT TO REGION 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS

Top 6 in each Individual Track & Field Events qualify for the USATF Region 5 Championships

Region 5 Championships will be at Laidley Field, Charleston, West Virginia

July 10th & 11th (Combined Events) and July 11th & 12th (Individual Events)

Registration deadline will be published after Association Championship

Region 5 meet is the qualifying meet for USATF National Junior Olympic Championships

July 27nd - August 2nd in Jacksonville, Florida (University of North Florida)

Top 5 in each event qualify for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships
