Targeted for middle school girls.

Description:

You will be introduced to the world of robotics through easy and fun, tile-based programming of the scribbler robot. You can make your robot move around the room, blink lights, sing songs, seek light, avoid other objects, follow lines, or even draw! You will also be introduced to what’s inside of the scribbler robot and how it all works

Permission Slips:

For this school year 2014-2015 you must sign and send back to us a TechGirlz Permission Slip before you attend the Workshop. (attachment below)

Attendance Policy:

Due to our space limitations, we ask that you only register your child if you are positive they can attend. We understand illness or emergencies occur, so we ask you to be kind to those on the Wait list and let us know if you need to cancel as soon as possible. Cancellation of three events will result in automatically being placed on the Wait list for future events. Thank you.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

We are tailoring the materials to middle school girls, typically 11 - 14 years of age.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is a parking lot behind Founders Hall. Since the sessions are on Saturday, parking in the employees lot should not be a problem.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

We need to have name, email and permission slip for each participant. If you contact Arta Szathmary and explain the situation she will be able to help

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, If you are trying to register multiple people and cannot enter all of the names, please contact Arta Szathmary.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, the host will have a check in sheet of all registered participants

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Only if you have contacted Arta Szathmary to get approval.
