Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor and uses a standard keyboard & mouse. It enables user to explore & understand how computers work as well as learn to program using languages like Scratch and Python. Students will create an Interactive Pet, a robot antenna, an interactive game and much more. This program encourages creative thinking & logical reasoning as well as provides an opportunity to work collaboratively.

This is a BYOD ( Bring your own Device) workshop. Please purchase this kit and bring it to the first session.

BCCC will supply for your use: Monitors with hdmi converter cable, usb keyboards, usb mice ethernet cables and power cables.

Participants will learn how to assemble the parts and how to use the operating system and various programs.

Followup workshop on 10/15/2016 will continue your learning.
