The vast majority of children with swine flu should not be given Tamiflu

and government policies on mass-prescribing need urgent revision,

researchers said today.

Tamiflu caused vomiting in about 5 per cent of cases. This can lead to dehydration and complications. The drug was found to have little or no effect on asthma attacks, ear infections or the likelihood of a youngster needing antibiotics.
