September 2008 - June 2009 Co-sponsored with UW Extension of Door County a series of webinars, Building Communities Series: Focus Sustainability.

September 2008: Field trip to three alternative waste water treatment sites in Door County.

Dec 2007-Jan 2008: major participation by Sustain Door members in Door County Comprehensive Plan workshop program to proceed throughout 2008.

Dec 2007: Shivani Arjuna and Dan Small (of Outdoor Wisconsin WPTV) presented "Global Fossil Fuel Depletion & Energy Descent" at the Crossroads at Big Creek Center to full house.

Nov 2007: Field trip to Bay Towel, Inc, sustainable business in Green Bay and green-built Kress Events Center and Mary Ann Cofrin Building on UWGB campus, Green Bay

Spring 2007: Nan Fey, Madison City Planning Commission member addresses Unitarian-Universalist congregation concerning The Natural Step.

May 2007: Field Trip to Enigl Integrated Living Homestead, Egg Harbor & Cottage Glen, Ellison Bay

May 2007: Steve Sandstrom returned to Door County for the annual meeting of the Wisconsin Towns Association: he presented "How to Implement Sustainable Community Development Practices using The Natural Step Framework".

Mar 2007: Field Trip to Strawbale construction projects in Egg Harbor and Baileys Harbor, WI

Dec 2006: Field Trip to Keune's Community Sponsored Agriculture Farm in Seymore, WI and TsyunhehkwA Oneida Agricultural Community in Oneida, WI

Oct 24 & 25 2006: Presentation by sustainable B & B owners, Nancy and Steve Sandstrom of Bayfield, WI: "Building Sustainable Communities - an Eco-Municipality Movement" in Fish Creek and Sturgeon Bay.

Summer 2006: Developed brochure.

Aug 2006: Field Trip to Fortin-Samida green-built home, Carlsville, WI

Summer-Fall 2006: Formed steering committee to advance plans and formalization. Monthly meetings from here on in.

Summer 2006: Work with Door County Transportation Consortium

May 2006: First field trip to Prairie Crossing, Grayslake,IL and The Urban Ecology Center, at Riverside Park, Milwaukee, WI

Jan 2006: First Study Circle assembles. As of October 2009, Sustain Door has conducted 17 Natural Step study circles and, in cooperation with the Door County Economic Development Corporation, one Natural Step for Business study circle. Altogether there have been 138 participants in these discussion groups. The TNS for Business group represented 11 organizations including DCEDC, two restaurants, a landscaper, a law firm, a building contractor, a .com company, a government agency, two food processing companies, and a media company. Four high school students, two local political candidates (who were subsequently elected!), one elected official and twelve government employees from both City and County departments have particpated.

Sept 2005: Mary Rehwald, town board member of Ashland, WI presented "Sustainable Sweden and its Lessons for Northern Wisconsin" at the Crossroads at Big Creek Center to about 25 people starting the interest in Door County.
