Whipple Dam

The lake sits within the boundary of the 256 acre state park. The use of marks is restricted to day-of-use only, i.e., they are set out in the morning and retrieved before going home. The lake is used for swimming (in a restricted area only) and fishing anywhere.

The occasional paddle boat and canoe rarely cause a problem for the club and I believe the EC-12s bring enjoyment to the other park visitors.

In 2019-2020 the lake was dredged.

Sailing in the fall offers special views of the area. While the trees affect the flow of the breeze, there is usually sufficient airflow to move the boats in a competitive manner.

Not every day is sunny, but every day is an opportunity to sail.

There are days when the wind is brisk and the sails fill to capacity ...

... and then there are lazy days. All are enjoyable and rewarding.
