Boiling Springs

Boiling Springs gets its name from the natural artesian well springs. Another story of the name comes from how the lake in the center of the town steams (as if boiling) in the winter, as the water in the lake stays at a constant 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius) year-round.

The shore line is very unforgiving to fiberglass hulls but the water is crystal clear and due to the relative lack of trees and the open space, the winds are fairly steady.

The launch site is directly in front of the parking area and was designed for full size boats thereby making the launching of the EC-12 a very convenient process.
