Consultation Rates

Initial crisis consultation:

The initial consultation is designed to identify the problem and determine the next step. This consultation can take place by phone, in my office, or as a house call (for an extra fee).

Plan development:

The crisis situation is by nature very complicated. Developing a plan of action often requires a significant investment of time. Planning sessions are scheduled as often as needed.

In the beginning stages, longer and more frequent sessions are common. As the plan takes shape, meeting every other week allows time for any additional outside information to be gathered.

A "mobile crisis" intervention approach:

When it's time to act, many families have found it essential to have me present. In this way, I am able to oversee and coordinate the plan, support those organizing the intervention, and coordinate with other professionals. I can be at the scene within or outside San Francisco, for as long as I am needed. Rates vary depending on the situation.

Response Time:

Generally, I return all requests to schedule an initial consultation very quickly. The date and time of the first consultation is usually set to occur within 3 - 4 days of your call.

By definition, it is often impossible to "schedule" a crisis. Many situations require immediate action and I try to meet the needs of each person calling. Urgent consultations can be arranged (if necessary) for an additional fee.
