Introduction and 1989 with 'A' Sqn DLOY
This scrap book is held in the Regimental Museum, Preston.
It covers the period February 1989 to October 1996
during which I moved from commanding 'A'Squadron DLOY, Wigan to SO2 G3 at 42 Inf Bde HQ in Chester,
back to DLOY HQ as 2IC for a few months until the regiment was amalgamated into
The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry
when I transferred with a number of DLOY to Manchester & Salford Universities Officer Training Corps,
initially running the Advanced Training Wing (Owens Coy) then as 2IC MSUOTC.
On 1st October 1996 I assumed command of MSUOTC.
