42 Infantry Brigade HQ

Leaving 'A' Sqn and the newly opened Kearsley House TA Centre in the hands of Maj Alastair McKenzie, I took up my appointment as SO2 G3 TA 42 Inf Brigade in Chester. Brigadier Ian McLeod was now my reporting officer and I found myself on the TA Staff and Command Course at short notice (two weeks) in January 1990. This was an opportunity I could not miss and with a recommendation for command from the staff at Camberley my time on Extra Regimental Employment(ERE) was a great investment.
