A small town in South Africa where all the inhabitants signed a code to uphold classical liberal values. The people are committed to living together and working together in a non-coercive relationship.

It has been labelled the most "laid back" town in the Southern Hemisphere!

All the municipal services are provided by individuals or groups on a contracted out basis by the municiplaity.

There have been no service delivery boikots or turmoil because of the closeness of the municipal authotities and the inhabitants.

What is regarded as a first for rural South Africa there is a 23 hour hotline that covers all municipal services - this line has been installed in the local police station as is funded by the local (Engen) Service Station and the APK (Afrikaanse Apostoliese Kerk) as well as a number of farmers in the area.

The village was to have been visited by president Jacob Zuma as part of his endeavour to see why so few individuals were on the social benefit system, but he cancelled the visit to go to Orania where he received much more publicity...
