Barberton

Barberton is a town in the Mpumalanga, which has its origin in the 1880s gold rush in the region. It is situated in the De Kaap Valley and is adjacent to the Mkhonjwa Mountains. It is 43 km south of Nelspruit and 360 km to the east of Johannesburg.

The first stock exchange in SA was created in Barberton during the gold rush of the previous century. The adjoining township is called Emjindini.
