5.0 Everyday

All in this page is with AIR Cooling

Safe settings: Everyday eco-OC 5.0Ghz@Air

Lots of people talks about temperature, voltage etc. and how low to keep these parameters. This setup is purely to make something that is completely safe, not even near the limits of Intel specifications: I will use vcore @ 1.39v (limit is 1.52v), and temps below 70c.

Warning: this setup is boring, - primarily for sissies. Anyway - if you are the type of guy that keep the same computer for like 10 years, then this might the good reliable, long lasting setup you want.

The system adjust is self to only use very little power when idle. When loaded a little it will raise up to 3.4 GHz, still not consuming a lot of power. If the cores are loaded at max they will be able to use the Intel Turbo Boost till 5.0 GHz.

One core loaded: Max 5.0 Ghz

Two cores loaded: Max 5.0 Ghz

Three cores loaded: Max 4.9 Ghz

Four cores loaded: Max 4.8 Ghz

I could aim higher, but max load on four cores require more voltage, and that is what I like to keep low in the setup.
