Writeups and Photos

Members and Leaders of walks are encouraged to send walk writeups or photos for inclusion in the Newsletter.

A writeup in plain text is preferred. If sending by email just type the writeup as an email message and then send as is. There is no need to do it in Microsoft Word (or any other word processor). Any formatting done in the word processor will be lost anyway as the formatting in the Newsletter is different.

Hand it to the Editor at a meeting or on a walk.

Sending photos by email is preferred.

Photos should be between 1000 to 2000 pixels wide.

(1024 x 768 or 1600 x 1200 pixels are fine.)

Each photo should not be larger than 500 Kilobytes.

There is limited space in the email box so please do NOT send that 10 megapixel photo by email! Reduce the size of the photo in pixel size and kilobyte size first. Most digital cameras come with a graphics program which allow you to decrease the size of the photo for emailing.
