The Club provides a wide range of activities, walks and socials.
Involve walks which depart on a Saturday or Sunday morning and return late the same day.
Similar to day-walks, but are located further from Brisbane. They depart on a Friday or Saturday and require an overnight stay, so a tent, sleeping bag etc. will be required.
Weekend trips, normally leaving on a Friday night with camp being set up that night. Note that all food, utensils, etc must be taken by the walkers. Ensure to check with the walk leader for any additional items.
These are also weekend trips, usually departing on a Friday night to arrive at the start of the walk that night.
Full gear (tent, stove, fuel, sleeping bag, water etc.) for the whole weekend needs to be carried by the walker. Walk normally ends on the Sunday afternoon/night.
Occasionally organised by Club members and usually last at least a week. They may be Base Camps or Through Walks.
Provide an opportunity to meet other members. They range from coffee nights, dinner and movie nights, social walks, weekends away and other various social functions.
Provided by one of our Club members on topics such as use of map and compass, first aid, etc.
