An Overview

A layout with the “wow” factor, which always attracts the crowds.

• Set in the USA (Colorado) in the 1940’s

• ON30 Narrow gauge main line and zigzag branch serving two mines

• 8.3 mtr (27ft) long with end to end scenery

• 2mtr (7ft) high – scenery 0.84 mtr (2ft 9”) high

• Main line trains up to 24 wagons (4.3 mtr, 14ft) long pulled by K series locos (the largest in narrow gauge).

• Branch line with 8% (1:12) grade climbing 50cm (1ft 6”) to pass over a trestle 0.8 mtr (2ft 6”) long worked by Shay and Climax ‘logging’ locos with geared drive to all wheels.

• At least 3 trains in operation at all times – always something moving!
