The Peace Resource Center
is a project of the Monterey Peace and Justice Center, 
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 

In addition to other activities, the PRC serves as a CSUMB Service Learning Partner, and is an active member of 
the Peace Coalition of Monterey County

The Peace Resource Center hosts a variety of events in a room that can hold up to 57 people (theater seating for films and speakers) or accommodate 30 people at tables for a potluck or workshop.  A large projector screen is always available, and we have free Wi-Fi, as well as two computers with internet access.
Serving as a reading room where you can settle into a comfortable chair with a cup of tea, the PRC houses a free lending library of over 1,000 books, DVDs, and VHS films on Peace, Social Justice, and Environmental Sustainability, along with a selection of recent issues of insightful magazines.  

 

The PRC is a popular place for on-going study groups (including classes for English as a Second Language), along with CSUMB Service Learning activities and board meetings for various organizations.
