Lodging:

We have reserved a block of rooms at the TownePlace Suites Albany University Area for conference participants, at a rate of $99/night, for two nights.

Participants should book their own rooms at the following address:

http://www.marriott.com/meeting-event-hotels/group-corporate-travel/groupCorp.mi?resLinkData=2018%20Northeast%20Conference%5EALBTA%60UMDUMDS%6099.00%60USD%60false%602%609/13/18%609/15/18%609/15/18&app=resvlink&stop_mobi=yes

Two other hotels we recommend are the Fairfield Inn and Hilton Garden Inn near the university.

Please be careful --- all these hotel chains have more than one location in the Albany area. Please do not book your rooms by mistake at the other locations, which are quite far.

Hotel tax:

Every participant's folder includes an ST-129 hotel tax exemption form. You (the participant) should put in your own name in the "Employee" field. Please fill in all the fields. This form can then be presented at the hotel's reception to get the hotel tax taken off the bill.

Parking:

On Friday, we recommend that conference participants should use university guest parking ($5.40, payable by credit card on the spot) or, even better, walk from the hotel to the conference site, which is a 10-15 minutes' walk:

There are two main visitor parking lots. This is one:

And this is the third one:

On Saturday, guest parking is free on campus.

Lunch and dinner:

For a quick bite, the conference site is close to the Campus Center, where they have coffee, tea, and all kinds of food, from hamburgers to sushi: https://www.ualbanydining.com/dining-near-me/campus-center

The conference dinner will be at Jack's Oyster Bar, at 42 State St.. This is a 15-20 minute drive from campus:

The most convenient parking location near Jack's is the Green-Hudson Garage:

Parking at this municipal garage is free after 5pm and on weekends.
