Gary ‘Butch’ Arthur Corrotto

NORMAN — Gary “Butch” Arthur Corrotto died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at the age of 67 in Tulsa. Gary was born Nov. 10, 1945, in Seminole to Bertha Marie and Leonard Arthur Corrotto.

Gary spent his early childhood in Seminole and Atoka, where he lived with his mother and grandparents. At the age of 8, his mother remarried and he was adopted by E. F. “Gene” Corrotto. They moved to Norman, where he graduated from Norman High School in 1964.

He attended the University of Oklahoma and was an OU cheerleader his sophomore year. He was a talented athlete, artist and dancer who loved music.

He earned a license in cosmetology and moved to California, where he worked as a hair stylist. He eventually returned to Oklahoma and resided in Tulsa.

Gary is survived by his brother, Shane Corrotto and his wife Carolyn, nephew, Shane T. R. Corrotto and niece, Carly D. M. Corrotto, all of Norman; sister, Lynda Dale Corrotto of Spring Hill, Fla.; niece, Audra Jennings of N.J.; cousin, Mike Foutch of Wellston; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and partner, Steve Branch of Tulsa.

Gary desired to be cremated with no memorial services. Cremation was arranged by Ninde Brookside in Tulsa.
