Students Empowering Students (SES), is a voluntary student speaking organization (VSO). SES recently formed back in April of 2008 at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. The idea of this group started with a vision reaching back to late 2006 in hopes to promote more connection and awareness throughout the Ann Arbor community by providing people of all ages with a greater understanding and acceptance of diversity.

Mission (Statement):

Our mission is to create a world full of peace, freedom and awareness by serving others through unconditional love.

Vision:

SES has been founded with a common understanding that our sole purpose is to put students and other members of our community ahead of ourselves through empowering these individuals to serve as leaders of tomorrow. Our primary goal is to promote greater connection and community through a greater understanding and acceptance of diversity. We wish toempower these individuals to go and lead the change they wish to see for this society by creating greater awareness on issues such as race, culture, peace and reaching your full potential.
