2023

I received the National Science Center 2023 grant SONATA BIS for agent-based integrated assessment models. We will study social and climate tipping points. A 4-year postdoc and PhD position will be posted soon. Please contact me if you are interested in these positions or in joining the project.

2022

I've received the National Science Center 2022 award (under the age of 40) for substantial achievements in the field of basic research:

2022

In my most recent project, I examine physical limits to growth by developing circular economy models.  See for details

2020

I've received a grant from the National Science Center on the topic of "Introducing material-flows into macro-evolutionary models: a study of the circular economy."

Please contact me if you are interested to join this project. The project involves agent-based modelling.

2017

I've started the project on the Behavioral-Macro Assessment of Climate Policies.

So far, policy insights from behavioural economics have come mostly from micro-economic studies. In this project, we will study their macroeconomic relevance in the context of climate policies.

The first paper is out:

In November, I will start the project on Collective Decision Making in Common-Pool Resource Experiments financed by the Ministry for Science and Higher Education.

So far, intergroup interactions have been largely ignored in the studies on Common Pool Resource dilemmas. In this project, we aim to fill this gap and examine interactions between between-group conflict, climate change and within-group cooperation.

2015

I co-organized a series of debates on New Economics in Kino Iluzjon to popularize new research directions in economics, after screening of documentaries.

Some debates were recorded (only in Polish):

Do we need GDP?

On Economics of Individualized Education:

2014

Together with Tim Waring (University of Maine) and Marco Janssen (ASU), we will organize a series of workshops on “A cultural evolutionary approach to social-ecological systems change”, funded by the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBios). This project brings together scholars who work on cultural evolution with modelers of social and ecological systems to develop a collaborative network on the evolutionary dynamics of social-ecological systems.
