Recreational Race 3.5-mile course: Start between two buoys offshore of Bashara Boathouse. Proceed upstream to buoy below Route 93 bridge. Turn around buoy and return to boathouse. Finish by paddling in front of the cheering crowd, between shore and the buoy nearest the boathouse.

Youth Race 1-kilometer course: Complete one counter-clockwise loop, starting and finishing in front of Bashara Boathouse grounds.
