March 8: Sound and all that Jazz

Post date: Feb 27, 2014 4:54:07 PM

Minnetonka HS - Use door 14e.

Join your friends and colleagues for the fourth meeting of the school year.

Old sound labs and demonstrations with new twists. Neat ways of simplyfying concepts like beats and resonance. Sound door prizes (maybe this is a pun, but a good pun). Door prizes that relate to sound and that are basic to many sound concdepts - bring a milk carton or jug and get an extra chance at the door prizes! Every meeting needs to have a make take and do... there is one that your students will love and will also be educational!

Ways of involving you and / or your students in milk carton boat races will be discussed.

As always, there is no cost to atten GO4ST8 Physics meetings. You do not have to RSVP. The basic premis of GO4ST8 Physics is for teachers to help teachers improve the teaching and learning of physics in Minnesota.

If you are curious about participating, please complete this google form so we can get a bunch of curious folks together.

The flyer also has information on a sound lab, milk carton math, and more. Attend the meeting. Meet some pretty good folks. Learn some pretty good stuff. GO4ST8 Physics, where the meetings are good, the make-take-and-dos are fun, and the physics is above average.
