AP Physics 1 - Unit 8, Energy Transfer Model

The idea of a system (developed in the previous unit) is key to understanding energy.  Energy is something of a mystery (I say this even though many students seem to have an intuitive feel for it), but one fact about is extraordinarily useful.  The total amount of energy in a closed system remains constant.  This observation makes energy one of the most useful topics we will study.
