CICP 2007
Grant Name: CICP 2007 (Creative
and International Competitiveness Project), a research grant funded by Nara
Institute of Science and Technology, Japan
Website: http://arch.naist.jp/obsolated/gp2007/
Project Title: RedSOCs-3D: Thermal-safe Test Scheduling for
3D-Stacked SoC
Amount: JPY 1,275,000
Duration: October 2007 - March 2008 (6 months)
Principal Investigator: Fawnizu Azmadi Hussin
Co-investigators: Thomas Edison Chua Yu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tomokazu
Yoneda
Summary: In this project, we investigated the effect of the
3D-stacking of dies on the core temperature. We have successfully developped
a simplified model for the heating phenomena and use this to develop a test
scheduling methodology for 3D-stacked SoCs that minimizes the test
application time while preventing overheating and hotspots.
