OS X Workaround

Version of OS X later that 10.7.4 (if you Aperture installed) or 10.8 (if you don't have Aperture installed) have a bug in their DNG reader that can cause some images to display with a strong green cast.

There is a workaround for this, which is to override the camera model name in the DNG file. As of version 1.4.2.2, CornerFix now has an option that you can enable to do this. It can be found:

    • On Mac versions of CornerFix, in Preferences->Compression, and
    • On Windows version of CornerFix in Options->Image CorrectionOptions->Advanced.

The option name is "Apple DNG Compatibility". If this is set, "/CornerFix" will be appended to the camera model names in files corrected by CornerFix

New Files

To us the "Apple DNG Compatibility" option with with new (uncorrected) image files, simply convert them as per normal, with whatever lens profile (.cpf file) you usually use, with the new option enabled.

Files that have already been corrected

To make image files that you have previously corrected compatible with the new versions of OS X, simply load them into CornerFix without a lens profile loaded, and write them out. You can do so either in batch mode, or one at a time.
