Correcting images

Correcting a single image

The quickest way to get started with CornerFix is:

    1. Double-click CornerFix to start it
    2. Load a lens profile (a CPF file) by going to Lens Profile->Open.
    3. Make any changes to the Image conversion options that you want.
    4. Load the image file you want to correct by going to File->Open.
    5. As soon as the image file loads, it will display a thumbnail on the left of the window, and start the conversion process. This may take some time. When it completes, a thumbnail of the corrected image will show.
    6. To save the corrected image, go to File->Save. Note that CornerFix will suggest a filename which is the name of your original file with “_CF” appended.

Warning: Do not overwrite your original file.

Batch converting images

To batch convert a number of images:

    1. Double-click on cornerfixw.exe to start it
    2. Load a lens profile (a CPF file) by going to Lens Profile->Open.
    3. Make any changes to the Image conversion options that you want.
    4. Select the image files you want to correct by going to File->Batch Correct Images. You can then select a group of images, either by using the Cnrl-click to select individual files, or shift-click to select a range. Note that all files must be in the same directory. Note: CornerFix will allow a batch conversion process without having a lens profile loaded. In this case, only change between the old and the corrected files will be that the JPEG thumbnails in the corrected files has been regenerated, and, if enabled, the file's EXIF data will be updated.
    5. CornerFix will then cycle through all the selected images. The converted images are written as the original file name with “_CF” added to the filename. Cornerfix uses the loaded profile and option settings to make the conversions. At the end of the conversion process, all image files are unloaded, but the lens profile settings and option settings remain loaded.

Warning: Any files with same name as a newly corrected file (the original name plus “_CF”) will be overwritten without warning!!!
