Steering Upgrades
Own a 2WD van and looking for a little sportier steering?  Most years had an FE2 suspension and handling package available which included a 12-to-1 quick ratio steering gear.  The normal (non-FE2 as listed in cataloges) steering gear has a 16/19-to-1 variable ratio.  This is a direct bolt in swap for most 2WD vans as all connecting parts for FE2 vans are the same.

Idler Arms
Astro's like to eat idler arms.  Don't be cheap when it's time to replace them, get Moogs.

Note: The difference between the 1985-1990 and 1990-2005 2WD arms is the bolt hole diameters.  The newer vans use a 2mm larger diameter bolt to attach the arms to the sub-frame.  I once drilled out the arms off an 87 (free parts van) to mount them to a 94.
