Exams

Final Exam:

  • Time: 8:00 - 10:59 AM
  • Date: Wednesday, June 11
  • Location: Rec Gym (NOT in Ledden Auditorium)
  • Material:
    • All the material from Midterm 1 and Midterm 2, along with 11.1, 11.4, and 11.5 (i.e. the final is cumulative)
    • If you want me to type it all out... 5.1-5.4, 6.1-6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.4, 7.6, 7.7, 8.1-8.3, 11.1, 11.4, 11.5
    • Note that no material from Chapters 9 or 10 will be on the final
  • Other information:
    • You must bring a Blue Book (maybe 2, if you write a lot).
    • You must bring your student ID. (We will be checking student IDs this time.)
    • You will be allowed two pages of handwritten notes, front and back. (No scanning and shrinking!)
    • No calculators, textbooks, or other materials will be allowed.
    • Here are some finals from past 10B classes, if you're looking for practice. You are not expected to complete all of these exams, but they may help you get used to the sort of problems that will be on our exam.

Midterm 2:

  • Time: 9:00 - 9:50 AM (in class)
  • Date: Friday, May 23
  • Material:
    • Sections 6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.4, 7.6, 7.7, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 in the textbook (along with the homework assignments and lectures based on that material)
  • Other information:
    • You must bring a Blue Book (maybe 2, if you write a lot).
    • You must bring your student ID.
    • You will be allowed one page of handwritten notes, front and back. (No scanning and shrinking!)
    • No calculators, textbooks, or other materials will be allowed.

      • This past course website has a number of practice midterms (4, actually). Beware some problems that cover things we didn't cover though, such as center of mass. The same page also has a midterm summary that you might find helpful.

    • Homeworks 1, 2, and 3 along with the problems from Homework 4, Section 6.3
